ANTROBUS HERITAGE

Books about Royal Naval Air Station Stretton (H.M.S. Blackcap) and the parish of Antrobus have been produced by the group. It is also now in the sixth year of a tree, hedge and wildflower planting project.
The group was formed in 1998 when Antrobus was chosen as one of three parishes in Cheshire, by the Countryside Agency, to conduct pilot studies for its Local Heritage Initiative.
In
2003 it won the Cheshire Countryside Award and contributed to Antrobus parish
winning the 2006 Cheshire Vibrant Village Award and being Northern England
Winner of the Environment category in the 2007 Calor Village of the Year
Competition.
